The Chaim Sheba Medical Center is the largest multidisciplinary medical facility in West Asia. It was founded around the same time as the State of Israel in the mid-20th century. The center often serves as a major academic and clinical base for Israel’s leading medical universities.

Sheba’s staff includes nearly 6,000 top-level specialists. Each year, the center treats over one million patients from Israel and abroad. Despite its scale and high patient volume, this medical center emphasizes an individualized approach to every patient and their family.

Sheba is a pioneer in the application of innovative medical technologies. Several research centers operate within the hospital, studying various types of cancer, neurobiology, stem-cell therapies, HIV treatment, diabetes, and other diseases. Thanks to substantial funding, laboratories continuously develop new solutions, which undergo clinical trials and later become part of routine patient care.
