Wilste Memorial Hospital was founded in 2002 and is named after the American orthopedic doctor Leon Wiltse, who was a participant and founder of several scientific societeies and arened recognition for the research contribuitions.
During the hospital's existence:
- received a certificate from the Ministry of Health of Korea, confirming its status as a clinic specializing in spine and joint treatment.;
- conducted over 200 studies on the treatment of orthopedic diseases;
- treated approximately 100,000 patients from Korea and other countries;
- been awarded the Global Medical Marketing Award in 2010 and the Global Medical Service Award in 2011.
The hospital is equipped with modern equipment: MRI, ultrasound machine and CT for diagnosis; surgical microscope and C-arm system for monitoring the patient's condition during surgery. A 3D printer is used to create models of damaged limbs to plan treatment procedures.
Surgeries are performed personally by the chief doctor and department heads, including arthroplasty, joint and spinal disc replacement, spinal fusion.
Hospital staff colaborate with doctors from Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, India, Vietnam, sharing experience. Wiltse Hospital has been adesignated a Training Center for minimally invasive spine surgery in the Asia-Pacific region.
