About the clinic

Myongji is a hospital founded in 1987 that currently consists of 33 departments and 21 specialized centers. Among these are the diagnostic center, the transplant center, the cellular and immunotherapy center, the geriatric care center, the integrative oncology treatment center, and cardiovascular, neurovascular, and pediatric centers.

Each year, the hospital treats more than 500,000 outpatients and more than 170,000 inpatients. These include not only Koreans but also visitors from Russia, Kazakhstan, China, and other neighboring countries. One of the most in-demand services at Myongji is medical screening — more than 50,000 people undergo examinations here annually.

For three consecutive years, Myongji has been ranked among the top ten hospitals for treating aneurysms, strokes, and acute myocardial infarction. In addition, it has been designated as:

  • the official hospital for the national football team,

  • a UNICEF supporting hospital.

The inpatient unit has 750 beds, and international patients are traditionally offered VIP rooms with a private bathroom, kitchen, TV with Russian channels, and a computer. If a patient is undergoing outpatient treatment, they can stay at one of the nearby hotels — the hospital will select a room according to budget and provide free transportation.
