About the clinic

Hadassah is an organization in Jerusalem that unites two hospitals: Hadassah Mount Scopus (Har HaTzofim) and Hadassah Ein Kerem. The former primarily serves local residents, while international patients are generally admitted to Hadassah Ein Kerem. This is a large medical complex that includes:

  • the clinical base of the Faculty of Medicine of the Hebrew University,

  • a biotechnology park,

  • 28 buildings,

  • 130 departments,

  • 800 inpatient beds.

Hadassah is one of the most high-tech medical centers in Israel. Here, clinical practice is closely integrated with science and research activities conducted in numerous specialized institutes. Hadassah specialists study genetic therapy and methods of stem cell application.

The clinic has consistently been among the first in the country to implement new treatment methods and scientific developments. At Hadassah, the following procedures were performed for the first time in Israel:

  • double coronary artery bypass surgery;

  • kidney, bone marrow, and heart transplantation;

  • IVF procedures;

  • total hip replacement under the control of a computer navigation system.

Every year, more than 90,000 patients are hospitalized at Hadassah, and over 35,000 surgical procedures are performed.

Medical tourism is one of the clinic’s priority areas. For international patients, the clinic offers not only a standard service package (translation and accompaniment during treatment, assistance with documentation, help in finding accommodation), but also the option of using air ambulance services.
