Since its opening in 1999, the American Medical Center (AMC):

  • Successfully passed ISO 9001:2008 accreditation;
  • Was recognized as the hospital with the best service in Cyprus;
  • Received an award for eco-friendly construction — the first “green” hospital on the island, with many flowers and decorative trees in the corridors;
  • Assembled a team of 50 world-class doctors under one roof — specialists in cardiology, neurology, neurosurgery, and oncology from Europe and Israel.


The center occupies a 10,000 sq. m area, which includes a helipad and a medical building with:

  • 5 operating rooms;
  • 30 departments;
  • An intensive care unit and inpatient facility for 50 patients;
  • Dining room and cafeterias;
  • Library with books in multiple languages;
  • Prayer room.
  • The building is new, constructed in 2011, and meets international standards.


Patients can undergo diagnostics and treatment according to individually developed programs — made possible by the center’s state-of-the-art technical equipment and the expertise of its doctors. They do not need to worry about everyday matters: the staff will take care of visa arrangements, booking hotel rooms for accompanying persons, airport pick-up, and transfer. A Russian-speaking coordinator is available 24/7.
