Opened in 2002 in Ramat Gan as part of the renowned Sheba Medical Center, Edmond and Lily Safra Hospital is a comprehensive pediatric healthcare complex serving patients from birth to 16 years of age. The hospital includes 15 departments, operating theaters, intensive care units, an emergency department, laboratory and research facilities, and other units dedicated to children’s and adolescents’ health. Over the years, the hospital has saved the lives of thousands of children, particularly those suffering from oncological diseases.

Each year, the hospital treats more than 60,000 patients, including international visitors. Priority areas include check-up diagnostic programs, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, gastroenterology, urology, and oncology. The hospital also operates a neonatal unit that provides care for extremely low-birth-weight newborns and infants with congenital anomalies.

The hospital’s staff includes highly qualified physicians, Candidates and Doctors of Medical Sciences, and professors from Tel Aviv University. Specialists adhere to principles of interdisciplinary collaboration, which significantly enhances treatment effectiveness. Particular emphasis is placed on early disease detection, making therapy more accurate and successful.

Young patients are accommodated in comfortable, fully furnished rooms designed to eliminate the typical hospital atmosphere. Most rooms allow for joint accommodation of the mother and child. The hospital also offers recreational and educational facilities where children can play and learn, reducing stress and promoting emotional well-being.
