Cheju Halla is a multidisciplinary medical center opened in 1983 on Jeju Island. Its three main areas of focus are high-tech medical care, diagnostics, and sanatorium treatment.
The hospital places special emphasis on treating stage 3–4 cancer, organ transplantation, minimally invasive gynecological surgeries, and orthopedics. Cheju Halla includes 16 specialized sub-centers, including vascular, dental, pediatric, and cardiology centers. The diagnostic center offers examinations using the latest equipment and thoughtfully designed diagnostic packages.
One of Cheju Halla’s main features is the premium-class WE wellness resort. It includes:
-
a SPA center,
-
a wellness center,
-
a plastic surgery center.
Here, patients can rest and improve their health. This is supported both by the efforts of the doctors and the natural environment of the island: mild climate, clean air, and warm sea. During their free time, patients and their accompanying family members can book excursions or explore Jeju on their own.
Cheju Halla rapidly adopts new medical technologies and techniques. It was among the first centers to introduce PET-CT, 256-slice CT, and the Rapid MultiArc linear accelerator for radiation therapy of brain tumors. The hospital successfully passed government accreditation and was designated an emergency care center. In addition, Cheju Halla collaborates with clinics and medical universities in China, Japan, the United States, Mongolia, France, Italy, and Russia.
The hospital also operates an international department. Interpreters and coordinators assist with document preparation, visa processing, transfers (free for patients scheduled for surgery), and hotel reservations — if a patient prefers not to stay at the WE resort, they will be offered another, more suitable hotel.
