The European Cyberknife Center was opened in 2005 within the Munich Oncology Center. The center’s doctors have performed over 11,000 successful radiosurgery procedures using the Cyberknife system. The accumulated experience allows them to treat patients even at advanced stages of disease.
The center is equipped with the Cyberknife M6 with the InCise2 collimator, which increases the precision and intensity of radiation. Thanks to this, treatment effectiveness reaches 95%, and the complication rate is among the lowest in Europe.
The European Cyberknife Center closely collaborates with the departments of the Munich Oncology Center. Specialized centers for neuro-oncology, kidney, prostate, lung, and other organ tumors monitor and coordinate the treatment process. The center also exchanges experience with other hospitals in Germany and abroad, including oncology centers in Berlin and Hamburg, the Technical University of Munich clinic, and Stanford University in the USA.
In addition to treatment, the center offers patients:
-
Services of a Russian-speaking coordinator — documents can be sent in Russian without translation
-
Fast processing of requests
-
Urgent hospitalization if necessary
It is important to note that Cyberknife is an effective treatment method but is not suitable for all types of tumors. Therefore, it is necessary to send all available imaging and documents for the doctors to assess whether Cyberknife therapy is appropriate for the patient.
