Schneider Children’s Medical Center was founded in Petah Tikva in 1992. Today, it is the largest diagnostic and treatment complex dedicated to the care of infants, children, and adolescents. For many young patients admitted here, an accurate diagnosis is established only at this institution. The center’s priority areas include hematology and oncohematology, cardiology and cardiac surgery, orthopedics, neurology, oncology, and genetics.
Innovative diagnostic and treatment programs for various early-onset somatic and psychoneurological disorders are implemented at Schneider Children’s Medical Center. The complex occupies seven floors. The inpatient department is designed to accommodate 250 patients simultaneously. Each year, more than 45,000 surgeries of varying localization, purpose, and complexity are performed at the clinic.
In addition to specialized departments, the hospital includes a neonatology unit dedicated to the care of premature infants.
Among the most common procedures performed at the hospital are:
-
Pediatric check-up examinations according to standardized protocols
-
Neurosurgical procedures using Gamma Knife and CyberKnife technologies
-
Surgical correction of congenital heart defects (including minimally invasive and microsurgical techniques)
-
Surgical treatment of congenital and acquired musculoskeletal disorders
-
Bone marrow transplantation
-
Robot-assisted resection of malignant tumors
-
Radiation therapy using linear accelerators
-
Rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy and other neurological disorders
Consolidation of therapeutic outcomes is one of the top priorities of the clinic’s physicians. They develop individualized rehabilitation programs aimed at patient recovery and protection against disease recurrence.
