Founded in 1972, the German Heart Center Munich is currently one of the world’s leading centers for both conservative and surgical treatment of cardiovascular conditions. In 1981, the clinic performed its first open heart transplantation. Today, the institution includes six affiliated branches across Bavaria and Germany.
The clinic’s outstanding technical capabilities and staff professionalism have been repeatedly confirmed through accreditation by JCI, ISO, and KTQ. The center employs highly qualified physicians, doctors and professors of medical sciences, university lecturers, and academicians. Many specialists have received prestigious national and international awards.
The German Heart Center Munich treats both adult and pediatric patients. One of the most common pediatric procedures is the correction of congenital heart defects. Physicians favor gentle surgical techniques to restore cardiac function while minimizing postoperative complications. The clinic is equipped with high-field MRI systems, 128-slice CT scanners, myocardial scintigraphy devices, angiography units, Doppler ultrasound systems, catheters, lasers, robotic surgical systems, and other advanced technologies.
Patients are accommodated in comfortable, fully furnished rooms with round-the-clock access to nursing staff. The favorable environmental conditions, abundant greenery, and clean air promote effective rehabilitation and long-term preservation of treatment results.
