Founded in 1958, Bucheon St. Mary’s Hospital has undergone several name changes and expansions over the years, becoming one of the top hospitals in the city, rivaling major medical centers in Seoul.
Today, the hospital has 30 departments, including cardiology, oncology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, rheumatology, and more. The facilities are equipped with 3.0T MRI, 128-slice CT, PET-CT, digital angiography, Infinity linear accelerator for radiation therapy, and APEX radiosurgery system.
Achievements of the hospital were recognized at the state level:
- Recognized in 2013 as the best hospital in Korea in six specialties, including hip replacement, heart disease treatment, and stomach and liver cancer care
- Ranked the top emergency care center
- Awarded the international AAHRPP certification (Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs)
The hospital employs doctors who practice in both Russia and Korea, helping overcome language barriers and speeding up treatment. Russian-speaking physicians allow coordinators to process patient requests within a day and create an accurate treatment schedule.
A comfortable guesthouse is available nearby for international patients, with rooms starting at $40 per night, including a private bathroom and kitchen.
