Facelift at different ages

Today, people undergo facelift at different ages. The fact is that the aging of the skin and muscles of the face depends not only on the number of years you have lived, but also on many other factors. These include genetics, lifestyle, environmental pollution, diseases, mental state, and more. Therefore, the right time for facelifting is when a person no longer feels confident in their appearance. Today, clinics offer a variety of treatments that can be adapted to all age groups and cover many problems of facial aging, as well as birth defects.

Facelift after 30

The first signs of aging of the skin of the face can appear in the first years after the age of thirty. These are mainly wrinkles around the eyes and mouth. Most of these patients do not need surgical correction. Temporary improvement of the skin and removal of fine lines will be provided by injectable products such as Botox and Juviderm.

There is also a subgroup of patients at this age who have problems related not to aging, but to the congenital shape of their face. These flaws may include slight asymmetry in the shape of the jaw, drooping cheeks, sunken or sad-looking eyes, and low or flat eyebrows. In plastic surgery clinics, many of these deficiencies are corrected with two tiny incisions on each side of the scalp.

Facelift after 40

After 40, facelifting helps to remove more pronounced signs of aging, including: drooping eyebrows, heavy eyelids, sagging cheeks. To combat these disadvantages, specialists use endoscopic lifting. This minimally invasive procedure using an endoscope does not leave visible scars, improves the shape of weakened muscles and removes sagging skin.

If the patient complains of loss of volume on her face, a bio-reinforcement procedure is recommended. During treatment, the doctor uses regenerative cells collected from the patient's fat, which are broken down into a highly concentrated but thin consistency. These regenerative cells are injected throughout the face to fill in wrinkles and restore areas that have lost volume.

Facelift after 50

After the age of 50, facelifting is necessary to smooth out large wrinkles on the forehead, improve the shape of heavy eyebrows or remove wrinkles under the eyes. Often, the main signs of aging also appear under the jaw and neck. Due to the different characteristics of patients, plastic surgeons create an individual facelift plan using different procedures. The upper two thirds of the face can be adjusted using tiny incisions on the scalp. To rejuvenate the rest of the face and neck, the plastic surgeon makes all the incisions behind the earlobes and in the hair area at the back of the head. As a result, the patient has no visible scars, and the back hairline remains uniform. All these methods can also be combined with the introduction of regenerative cells into problem areas to restore attractive fullness of the face.

Facelifting after the age of 60 is usually accompanied by similar procedures and is planned based on the patient's problems and needs.
