Treatment in China
Treatment in China. Let's talk about hospitals, not traditional Chinese medicine.
In this article, I would like to tell you why Treatment in China in multidisciplinary clinics is not as developed as treatment in Israel, Korea, Germany and now Turkey.
So, medicine in China (let me remind you here that we are not talking about hospitals and polyclinics that are common in the understanding of a Russian person) :
- - there are private and public,
- -it relies on the insurance system, that is, patients receive treatment in such hospitals under insurance.
- -It is well developed, but it is still difficult to call it advanced in many ways in comparison with its neighbor Korea.
- - it is difficult to get an appointment with a doctor because of the huge queues.
Here I will give an example, on one of the trips to study Chinese clinics, we got in line for the elevator at the entrance to the clinic, and the queue is lined up in a specially fenced-off space with a snake, as when passing through passport control at airports. It took us about 20 minutes to get to the doctor's office.
It was also very difficult to approach the office from the crowd of people. There were 8-9 people (patients) in the doctor's office at once with their pictures, all these people were standing behind each other and trying to get to the consultation, humbly waiting for their time.
Do not expect any electronic queues, time records, or services in large multidisciplinary clinics in China.
- - lack of doctors in a densely populated country
- - commercial medicine is still poorly developed and is represented by small, narrow-profile centers.
- - there are no international departments with translators.
All of the above factors make it impossible, in principle, to start developing service Medicine in China.
But the Chinese population is gradually getting richer and demand creates supply, VIP-level clinics have begun to appear in China. It should be noted that prices there are much higher than in ordinary public hospitals, and here China is already on a par with Korea and Turkey, and it is not worth expecting that it will be cheap in China.
The main areas that China should consider for treatment are oncology. In this direction, you can choose a clinic both in the north (in Harbin) and in the south of the country (in Guangzhou). In this direction, we can expect the availability of an interpreter, advanced technologies and a more or less adequate cost.
For the treatment of other diseases, mainly chronic, which do not require surgical intervention and are poorly treatable, as well as recovery and rehabilitation, China successfully uses Traditional Chinese Medicine.
