About the clinic

Bumrungrad International Clinic, founded in 1980, is one of the largest medical centers in Southeast Asia. It includes 38 specialized centers with 1,200 doctors covering all major fields of medicine.

Annually, Bumrungrad treats over 1,000,000 patients, of which 520,000 are from abroad. Patients come for treatment from 190 countries, so the hospital employs 150 interpreters, including Russian-speaking staff. They accompany patients throughout the workday and are also available for consultations by phone after.

Bumrungrad is the first JCI-accredited medical center in Asia. JCI accreditation is a globally recognized marker of quality in healthcare. Additionally, Bumrungrad boasts:

  • an award from the Daisy Foundation for outstanding patient care — 14 nurses at the clinic have received this honor;

  • certification from the Medical Institutions Certification Institute;

  • certification from DNV-GL — a company specializing in consulting and risk management assessment, which recognized Bumrungrad’s high standard of hospital infection prevention;

  • certification from the American College of Pathologists.

The clinic’s facilities allow it to treat patients with a wide range of needs — from preventive examinations to heart and brain surgeries. Bumrungrad has actively participated in charitable campaigns to help children in need of heart transplants. The clinic includes:

  • an inpatient facility with 580 beds;

  • 19 general operating rooms equipped with surgical navigation systems and medical robots, and 2 specialized operating rooms for heart surgeries;

  • a bone marrow transplant unit;

  • multiple laboratories;

  • diagnostic equipment — MRI, CT, PET-CT — and other medical technology.
