The National Medical Research Center named after Academician E. N. Meshalkin, located in Novosibirsk, celebrated its 60th anniversary in September 2017. Every year, about 20,000 patients receive treatment at the center, while over 96,850 people visit for diagnostics and consultations.
The center comprises a polyclinic and inpatient hospital and specializes in cardiology and cardiac surgery, oncology, and neurosurgery. Among its 2,000 staff members are transplant surgeons, obstetricians, and pediatricians, enabling the treatment of children under one year old and the management of childbirth in women with severe cardiovascular conditions.
Physicians perform minimally invasive, endoscopic, and endovascular surgeries, reducing the risk of complications and shortening hospitalization time.
The center not only implements modern medical achievements but also develops its own innovative methods, including diagnostics, cell therapy, and pharmaceutical innovations. The expertise of its staff and extensive scientific base have made Meshalkin Center a major educational hub, where medical students and practicing doctors can receive additional training.
Patients are housed in standard four-bed wards or comfortable single rooms, where a family member may stay with them. All rooms are bright and spacious.
A pension with 50 rooms for accompanying persons is located nearby in a pine forest.
A balanced menu is provided, including fruits and vegetables, meat, baked goods, and dairy products.
