We went for an examination in Korea by chance. Although we had been planning to for a long time, somehow we never got around to it. And then we decided to go to Seoul for a vacation as a family, and at the same time undergo diagnostics so as not to waste time.

We contacted a coordinator through a consultant on the website and learned in advance everything necessary about the "Anam" center—where it is located, whether we would have a translator (we had a translator, and an excellent one!), whether we would have enough time for the examination and vacation. We were assured that we would have time to both see the city and undergo diagnostics. Thanks to this, we felt very calm and didn't worry at all before visiting the clinic.

Everything went without problems; it turned out that you can navigate the clinic even without the help of translators. It is located right next to a subway station, you can get there and find the right office even with minimal English. However, if problems do arise, the coordinator is always in touch—if they are not accompanying you to procedures, you can call.

It was very important for us to go through all the examinations as quickly as possible to have enough time for relaxation and walks around the city. What can I say, "Anam" exceeded all expectations—despite the huge flow of patients, the queues are minimal, I saw all the doctors in a day. The examination was quick but attentive, without rush—a big contrast compared to how examinations are conducted in my hometown. I undergo them regularly, and I know what I'm talking about.

The only small downside—the test results came after a few days, already after our departure. They were sent by mail, already translated into Russian.

In the end, after the trip, I saw with my own eyes that Korean medicine is praised for a reason!

I came to "Anam" with my sister to undergo an examination.

Immediately after arrival, we were met at the airport and taken to the hotel, where we met our translator. It was very pleasant to learn that she is from our hometown! She helped us check into the hotel, explained where we could exchange money, and gave us a phone with a local SIM card. The impressions were very pleasant: the girl is polite, courteous, quickly resolves all arising issues — we were convinced of this many times later. If a situation arose when I needed to talk to a doctor and the translator wasn't there, I just called her, she talked to the doctor, and then with me and translated what I needed to do.

The day after arrival, examinations began. At "Anam", everything is organized very reasonably and conveniently, everything is for people — right on the hospital grounds there are shops, cafes, a pharmacy, and a bank. You can go to the desired floor in a spacious elevator or on an escalator. No queues or crowds in front of the doctor's office — while waiting for an appointment (I never had to wait long), you can sit on comfortable sofas, and a nurse will measure your blood pressure.

The examination detected a tumor, and I was sent for urgent surgery — it was performed by the head of the department using the "Da Vinci" robot. I didn't even think the surgery would be so easy, but in two days I was discharged feeling great.

I underwent the first course of chemotherapy there at the clinic and flew home to continue treatment there. But as soon as I could compare conditions, I realized that I would only undergo chemotherapy in Korea. The course is short, a couple of days, and during this time I can calmly walk around the hospital grounds thanks to convenient wheeled IV drips. After finishing, I fly home for a month, until the next course.
