Dusseldorf University Hospital comprises 34 specialized sub-clinics, 31 departments, and 6,000 physicians and nurses. This structure makes it possible to combine the expertise of specialists from various medical fields for more accurate diagnostics and treatment.
Every year, the hospital treats 190,000 patients from across Germany, European countries, the CIS, and Russia.
Its main areas of focus include cardiology, oncology, endocrinology, and neurosurgery. Their high demand is due in no small part to the hospital’s active research work. The Department of Medical Research conducts scientific studies and implements new, more effective, and safer treatment methods in clinical practice.
The hospital’s high standards are confirmed by:
- ISO 9001:2000 certification
- KTQ certification, which evaluates the quality of medical services
- DKG certification — issued by the German Cancer Society
- Membership in EUSOMA — the European Society of Breast Cancer Specialists
Diagnostics are performed by the Preventive Medicine Department, where patients can undergo a full-body examination or targeted organ system screenings. Results are typically available within 1–2 days.
Staff at the International Patient Coordination Center speak Russian and Ukrainian.
