The Federal Scientific and Clinical Center for Specialized Medical Care and Medical Technologies of the FMBA of Russia is a multidisciplinary institution providing diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive services to all population groups. It has been operating since August 23, 1985. In addition to residents of Moscow and other regions of Russia, the Center regularly provides examinations and treatment to cosmonauts and athletes of the Olympic national teams. The center also accepts international patients.
Over the years of its operation, the medical institution has delivered qualified care to more than 500,000 patients. A total of approximately 160,000 surgical procedures have been performed in its operating units, including abdominal, thoracic, neurosurgical, orthopedic, and other types of surgery. A priority focus of the Center is minimally invasive, endoscopic, and robot-assisted surgery.
The Federal Scientific and Clinical Center for Specialized Medical Care and Medical Technologies of the FMBA of Russia is equipped with a large rehabilitation unit, where patients can undergo comprehensive postoperative recovery programs under professional supervision. Rehabilitation is also provided after severe illnesses, critical conditions, injuries, and aggressive treatment courses.
The center has received numerous state awards, including the “For the Art of Healing” award, the “Star of the Fatherland,” “Best Municipal Medical Organization,” and others. In addition to clinical departments, the institution operates universities and postgraduate education departments. The integration of clinical practice and scientific research facilitates the successful implementation and continuous improvement of medical innovations, positively influencing patient treatment outcomes.
