About the clinic

The Hangil Eye Hospital has been operating since 1985. Today, it occupies a 14-story building with a total area of 8,900 sq. m. The Ministry of Health has awarded the clinic a certificate and the status of a specialized eye hospital.

People come from Russia, the USA, China, Australia, and Canada, most often for diagnosis, cataract treatment, or LASIK vision correction. Foreign patients are offered assistance with accommodation, ticket booking, visa support, and interpreter services, including translation of medical documents.

Department ophthalmology

Hangil offers diagnostics, therapy and surgical treatment of the eyes, including plastic surgery. The clinic's doctors perform more than 20,000 operations a year, of which 5,000 are cataract treatment, and 7,000 are vision restoration using the LASIK method.

The examination is performed on high-tech equipment-HRT and OCR for retinal tomography, Pentacam and Visucam for visual assessment of the eye condition. This allows you to conduct an examination even in children aged from 6 months.

The clinic prides itself on the fact that most procedures can be attended in 1 day, and operations do not require a long recovery period.

A complete diagnosis includes 16 types of tests and takes about 2 hours. Cataract treatment — about 30 minutes, LASIK for both eyes — 25 minutes.

Liked everything! Friendly staff, good attention, answered all questions, were very restrained if the child was capricious! After the surgery, upon arriving home, we immediately went to see our ophthalmologist to continue treatment, the doctor said that the eye was set straight from the first time, which is extremely rarely done in Russia, as they are afraid. In April 2018, we were in South Korea, at the "Hangil" clinic. The hospital is very good! The staff is very friendly, polite, and professional! Our son had a frontalis sling plastic surgery and lower eyelid surgery, everything went very wonderfully. Our son took tests without any problems, even though he is terribly afraid of needles and syringes; at this clinic, everything went just wonderfully. The treating doctor Lee Sang On is simply an incredible person—a professional in his field, he asked and inquired about every detail during the surgery, showed the progress of the surgery so that I, as a mother, was aware of everything happening.
