The Oncology Institute of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences is the largest specialized institution offering services in the diagnosis, differentiation, treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of oncological diseases. It was founded in 1958 as the clinical base of the country’s leading medical educational institution.

The institute is equipped with a consultative and diagnostic department, in-house laboratories, 12 specialized and interdisciplinary departments, modernized operating theaters, and intensive care units. The Oncology Institute employs more than 2,115 staff members. Medical consultations are provided by physicians of the highest qualification categories, Doctors of Medical Sciences, professors, and academicians. Close collegial and interdisciplinary collaboration is one of the principles enabling local specialists to achieve outstanding results in the treatment of oncological diseases.

The Oncology Institute is equipped with innovative medical equipment manufactured in China, South Korea, Western Europe, and the United States for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Unique technologies include dual-phase and three-phase linear accelerators, state-of-the-art Da Vinci robotic systems, nine Pinnacle and CMS therapy planning systems, and much more.

Diagnostic procedures available to patients include:
