About the clinic

Jaseng is an international center for Eastern medicine and non—surgical treatment of the spine. It was founded in 1990 by Dr. Shin Chun Shik and treats patients with:

  • spine disorders (hernias, stenoses, curvatures) and joint conditions (bursitis, arthritis, sports injuries);
  • obesity;
  • chronic fatigue syndrome.

Doctors use methods and medicines developed at Jaseng tresearch institute, including :

  • Pharmacopuncture with bee venom and Shinbaro;
  • muscle meridian therapy;
  • MSAT motor acupuncture;
  • cauterization or moxibustion therapy;
  • medical cupping and bloodletting;
  • herbal steam for inhalation therapy and herbal preparations;
  • therapeutic decompression stretching of the spine;
  • massage and physiotherapy.

Among them are the developments of the founder, Shin Chun Shik. The main focus is on restoring the body without surgical intervention. Specialists first aim to relieve pain, and then to channel the body's internal resources toward recovery.

Special attention is given to safety. Medications are produced at Jaseng's own pharmaceutical factory, which combines traditional recipes of Korean medicine and modern technologies, precise dosing, and sterility. Treatment is prescribed after examination at the diagnostic center and is conducted under a doctor's supervision.

Hospitalization rates:

  • Single room — $ 160;
  • Double room — $ 80;
  • Triple room — 60$;
  • Quadruple room - 50$;
  • Six—bed room - $ 35.

Accommodation for an accompanying person is included, but meals are extra. Interpreter services, and assistance with documents and tickets, are provided free of charge.

Treatment directions
Department oriental medicine

Chasen uses a number of techniques that are united by the fact that they are:

  • non-invasive,
  • non-surgical,
  • based on the traditions of Eastern medicine;
  • are used to treat the musculoskeletal system, gastrointestinal tract and nervous system, to restore the body after childbirth.

Doctors of the center use purified bee venom and herbal remedies of their own development, in particular the patented "Synbarometin". It eliminates inflammation and pain, helps regenerate tissues, and has found use in the treatment of osteoporosis and intervertebral hernias. Other medicines from the arsenal of "Chasen" relieve fatigue, stimulate blood circulation and brain function, protect joints and bones from destruction, strengthen the immune system. To confirm their effectiveness, the center's doctors conduct research in collaboration with Seoul University.

Acupuncture is combined with drug therapy (needles with microdoses of drugs are inserted into the active points) and physical education (after the needles are inserted, the patient performs a set of exercises). Other methods include physical therapy, spinal traction, moxa therapy (therapeutic cauterization or warming up), banks, massage, including the Chun method, which gently relieves pain and tension in the muscles.

Prices are for a standard course of 2 weeks.
