Westend Clinic was established in Berlin in 1875. It belongs to the Red Cross, the only national organization holding certification from the strict North American Joint Commission International (JCI). The hospital provides a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services to local and international patients. Its campus includes 12 specialized departments, 15 interdisciplinary centers, operating and intensive care units, rehabilitation and preventive medicine departments, institutes, and research facilities. The inpatient facility has 490 beds.

The pride of Westend Clinic is its breast care department, which received a quality mark from the German Cancer Society in 2006. The department performs digital mammography, segmental and total breast resections for malignant tumors, radiation therapy, hormone therapy, and other treatments. Reconstructive and plastic surgeries are also performed for patients who have undergone radical mastectomy. More than 500 surgical procedures are carried out here annually.

The professional staff consists of 2,600 employees, 1,000 of whom are experienced and highly qualified physicians. Many university professors, innovators, and scientists practice at the clinic. Working as a coordinated team, they treat more than 80,000 patients per year, giving many individuals a chance for a full and high-quality life even in complex clinical situations.

Rehabilitation programs are developed individually for each patient, allowing consolidation and prolongation of therapeutic effects while protecting against complications and disease recurrence.
