SAM Medical Center is one of South Korea’s leading diagnostic and treatment institutions, known for its progressive and unconventional approach to the treatment of severe somatic diseases. It was founded in 1967 in the city of Anyang. In 2013, SAM Medical Center opened a branch in Gunpo. In addition to the outpatient and polyclinic department, inpatient facilities, operating rooms, intensive care units, laboratories, and interdisciplinary departments, the center also includes a department of traditional Korean medicine. Today, the institution employs approximately 90 physicians of various specialties, both core and interdisciplinary. Most specialists hold academic degrees, certificates, and awards of international significance. The center is equipped with high-tech systems for radiation and ultrasound diagnostics, robot-assisted surgery, endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures, rehabilitation, and other medical interventions. Psychotherapists also work here, focusing on stimulating patients’ motivation to fight disease.
