The National Medical Research Center of Cardiology is a leading specialized institution which offers a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with heart and vascular diseases. In 1981, the world’s first successful intracoronary thrombolysis procedure for acute myocardial infarction was performed at this institution. Every day, the Center’s physicians perform numerous highly complex cardiac surgeries that save lives and significantly improve patients’ quality of life.

The inpatient facility includes 400 beds. The Center hosts institutes of clinical and experimental cardiology. Its staff includes leading scientists, professors, academicians, and members of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.
