The Scientific and Practical Center for Vision Restoration is a large medical and diagnostic institution focused on providing healthcare services in the fields of ophthalmology and ophthalmic surgery. It was founded in 1997 in Moscow on the basis of a reputable Research Institute of Eye Diseases. Over the years of operation, the clinic’s physicians have performed more than 700,000 successful surgeries on the organs of vision and their adnexa.

The staff of the Scientific and Practical Center for Vision Restoration includes physicians of the highest qualification categories, professors, candidates and doctors of medical sciences, and academicians. Many specialists have gained recognition and authority at the international level. Among them are Professor A.A. Karamyan, Academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences S.E. Avetisov, and Doctor of Medical Sciences Y.N. Yusef.

The clinic’s priority areas include:

  • Treatment of all forms of glaucoma

  • Cataract removal

  • Laser vision correction

Within the clinic, reconstructive and plastic surgeries of the eyes and eyelids are also performed. Patients are offered innovative strategies for the correction and treatment of ophthalmic pathologies, ranging from strabismus to retinal detachment.

The Scientific and Practical Center for Vision Restoration is equipped with state-of-the-art technology: it features instruments and devices that are not available in any other clinic in Russia. Among them is a unique ultra-high-power femtosecond laser with no equivalents in the country.

The institution’s physicians have achieved particular success in the implantation of monofocal, multifocal, and toric lenses (artificial intraocular lenses). Such surgical procedures last only 5–6 minutes, and vision is restored immediately after completion of the procedure. The center also provides emergency care services for eye injuries and trauma. In most such cases, physicians are able to preserve the patients’ vision.
