Sofia Oncology Center is a dedicated diagnostic and treatment facility offering effective care for both benign and malignant tumors of multiple organs and systems. Since 2013, it has functioned as an independent oncology unit within the multidisciplinary Medicine Clinic. The center’s core focus is proactive and targeted cancer treatment at all stages and in all forms.

The institution operates according to the standards of leading clinics and institutes in Switzerland, Germany, Israel, and the United States. Its medical staff includes top-tier physicians who regularly undergo international training. The professional team comprises dozens of professors, PhDs, and Doctors of Medical Sciences, corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, and other prominent figures in national oncology.

Special emphasis is placed on early cancer detection. The center offers optimal conditions for accurate, reliable, and comprehensive diagnostics, including high-performance CT and MSCT scanners, MRI, PET-CT, SPECT, static scintigraphy, targeted and aspiration biopsies, and other essential procedures. Its in-house laboratory performs molecular, cytological, immunocytochemical, genetic, and other advanced analyses, enabling precise tumor characterization, metastasis risk assessment, and prevention of resistance to drug and radiation therapy.

The center houses the only radiation therapy department in Russia equipped with linear accelerators that enhance treatment effectiveness while minimizing side effects.

The clinic strictly adheres to the principles of evidence-based medicine and rejects questionable “alternative” treatment methods. Therapies with unproven safety or efficacy are not used.
