Aachen University Hospital is a multidisciplinary medical center that began operating in 1985. The modern hospital campus includes 36 specialized and interdisciplinary departments, 30 operating rooms (including hybrid operating theaters), emergency care units, perinatal centers, and an inpatient facility capable of accommodating up to 1,500 patients simultaneously. The hospital is certified by numerous German, European, and international medical quality control commissions.
Each year, the hospital treats more than 47,000 inpatients and approximately 120,000 outpatients. The hospital actively practices immunotherapy, radionuclide therapy, removal of hard-to-reach tumors using CyberKnife and Gamma Knife systems, laparoscopic surgery, robot-assisted procedures, and other advanced and unique treatments. Patients are accommodated in double and triple inpatient rooms. Upon request, accommodation is available at a nearby hotel owned by the clinic. The hotel offers enhanced-comfort rooms, a restaurant, hair salon, bank, post office, terraces, and kitchen facilities.
