Hypertension can manifest itself in the form of a hypertensive crisis, during which there is a strong increase in blood pressure, there are signs of a serious violation of the blood supply to the heart and brain. The development of hypertension can lead to heart failure and life—threatening conditions such as myocardial infarction and stroke. Currently, the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension abroad is carried out using the most modern equipment and highly effective drugs.

Diagnosis of hypertension abroad

Diagnosis of hypertension abroad involves a comprehensive examination of the patient's cardiovascular system, including:

  • ECG;
  • Ultrasound of the heart;
  • angiotometry;
  • angiography;
  • Dopplerometry;
  • endovascular methods of vascular examination;
  • ergometric tests with a load on the cardiovascular system.

The purpose of the diagnosis is also to determine whether hypertension is true or symptomatic. In addition to the examination of the cardiovascular system, other procedures are performed.:

  • examination of abdominal organs;
  • kidney examination;
  • examination of the endocrine system;
  • blood tests;
  • rheovasography of vessels of the upper and lower extremities.

Treatment of hypertension abroad

Treatment of hypertension abroad consists of constant monitoring of blood pressure levels and prevention of complications such as cardiomyopathy, heart failure, and brain damage. Medications are prescribed for this purpose.

In the initial stages of the disease, monotherapy is sufficient — taking one medicine. Combined medications are prescribed for the treatment of hypertension abroad in more severe cases, if there is a risk of cardiovascular complications.:

  • b-blockers;
  • Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors;
  • calcium antagonists;
  • diuretics.

Physiotherapy is also prescribed for the treatment of hypertension abroad. A patient with hypertension is shown to be stress-free, salt-free diet, increased intake of potassium and magnesium, and sanatorium treatment.
