“Dasarang” is a clinic for alcohol and drug addiction treatment, opened in 2004. It is one of the largest institutions of its kind in South Korea:
- Accredited by the international healthcare evaluation organization JCI and the Government of South Korea;
- Inpatient capacity of 296 beds;
- Departments of psychiatry, physiotherapy, Eastern medicine, and diagnostics;
- Over 25,000 patients have already undergone treatment.
The advantage of Dasarang lies in its comprehensive approach. The clinic’s doctors use the “12-step” system, which combines medication therapy, psychological support, Eastern therapy, and sanatorium treatment. After a complete assessment, patients are prescribed:
- Detoxification to relieve withdrawal symptoms;
- Medications and herbal remedies to treat alcohol-related damage to the nervous system, heart, and liver;
- Psychotherapy to overcome addiction.
Dasarang employs Russian-speaking translators, so language barriers do not interfere with treatment. Beyond this, there are several significant advantages to receiving alcohol addiction treatment abroad: the family avoids public exposure, and the patient is removed from an environment that may hinder recovery. Being in a foreign country, they cannot as easily obtain alcohol as in Russia, and they are distanced from drinking acquaintances.
Prices are indicated for diagnostics, a package of herbal remedies, and procedures for 3 days (basic program) and 5 days. Hospitalization, additional procedures, and meals are paid separately.
