Asklepios is a network of clinics in Germany, known for combining modern technologies with an individualized approach to every patient. Founded in 1958, Asklepios has become one of the largest private medical groups in the country, comprising more than 150 clinics. Asklepios clinics are genuinely oriented toward international patients and offer them:

expedited entry to Germany on an urgent visa within 1–2 days,
accurate and transparent calculation of treatment costs. This includes base rates according to the German DRG system with coefficients (case complexity, room category, physician’s academic title) and organizational expenses. Preliminarily calculated amounts change very rarely, allowing patients to plan all expenses in advance.

Each clinic has its own priority areas: emergency care and treatment of particularly complex conditions at Barmbek, bariatric surgery at West, and cardiology at St. Georg. Dr. Karl-Heinz Kook, one of the best cardiologists in Germany, works at Asklepios St. Georg. Under his leadership, the Department of Cardiology developed and introduced new, modern methods of treatment and diagnosis.

I first came to Asklepios six months ago and had heart surgery for atrial fibrillation. Everything went well, but I didn't even understand the whole process, it all seemed too smooth. The operation was quick. Then a consultation with the doctor, a brief conversation. No further recommendations were given, I was a bit confused because of this. On the day of discharge, I was given documents in German. I had to ask friends for translation. It took a very long time to issue a prescription for medication, and considering that in Germany I had to buy them myself at the pharmacy. I don't know what went wrong, but after a couple of weeks I had a relapse, the arrhythmia didn't let go for 4 days. I had to do an ECG myself, which confirmed it. I had to look for explanations on the internet, as calling Germany was not possible. Now everything is fine, such attacks don't happen. But a bad aftertaste remains. Moreover, I was counting on the initially stated amount of 22 thousand euros and 2 in deposit. The deposit was not returned to me in the end. I didn't understand if it was marketing or if I paid for something. I can compare with the quality of service in Israel and must say to those who will contact Asklepios: think and look for an alternative. The treatment is good, of course, but the attitude leaves much to be desired.

After I developed arrhythmia, I decided to restore the heart rhythm in a foreign clinic. For this, from the hospitals offered by the service, I chose the "Asklepios" group of clinics. And I was not mistaken. It seemed to me that professionals work here. The procedure was successful. My condition has improved significantly.
