DIRAMS, the Dongnam Institute of Radiological & Medical Sciences, was founded in 2010. Its work focuses on 3 main areas: research on radiation and its effects on humans and the environment, development of cancer treatment methods, and cancer prevention.
The institute is divided into 6 sub-centres specializing in the treatment of tumors of the head and neck, lungs, female reproductive organs, breast, brain, gastrointestinal tract, as well as one center dedicated to prevention. Additionally, there are 26 departments ranging from pediatrics to psychiatry.
Foreign patients are assisted by coordinators who help select an examination program and accompany them throughout procedures. CT, MRI, endoscopy, and other diagnostic offices are located on adjacent floors within the same building, allowing visitors to complete all examinations in a single day. The treatment plan is assigned immediately after diagnostics.
Beyond oncology, examinations also provide insight into cardiovascular health
Foreign patients are accommodated in luxury rooms.
