Ewha Woman's University Medical Center was opened in 1887. Over the years, the small hospital has grown into one of the leading clinics specializing in women’s health.
The same diseases in women and men often progress differently and require different medical approaches. Doctors take this into account when developing treatment plans. Over 130 years, they have accumulated extensive experience, and new methods are developed at their own research center.
Patients come here for treatment of oncological, gynecological, and cardiological conditions, obesity, and post-stroke rehabilitation. The center includes 43 departments, 37 specialized centers, and a branch clinic in Mokdong.
The achievements of "Ewha":
- Successfully accredited twice by the prestigious JCI;
- Ranked among the top 10 medical institutions in Korea;
- Received an “A” rating for service quality and emergency care;
- Awarded the Excellence in Service award in 2009.
Foreign patients receive free assistance with flight and hotel bookings, interpretation, and airport transfers. Meals are paid separately and customized individually. Inpatient accommodation includes single and shared rooms, deluxe, and VIP rooms, ranging from $100–$675 per day. Many procedures are minimally invasive, so hospitalization is often not required, and patients may stay in nearby hotels.
