Kyung Hee University Medical Center was established in 1971.
Its mission is to create a new medical system that integrates Eastern and Western traditions. This is its greatest strength: under one roof, both doctors using the latest scientific advancements and specialists in traditional medicine work together.
Currently, the center includes:
- Western Medicine Clinic — divided into 35 therapeutic and diagnostic departments, including oncology, endocrinology, robotic surgery, pediatrics, ophthalmology, neurosurgery, and orthopedics;
- Dental Clinic — offering the full spectrum of services from prosthodontics to maxillofacial surgery;
- Traditional Korean Medicine Clinic — 16 departments providing rehabilitation and general health improvement programs;
- East-West Medicine Clinic;
- Research Center — conducting clinical trials of new treatment methods.
Kyung Hee’s achievements have been widely recognized: it became a WHO collaborating center for traditional medicine in 1988, a FIFA hospital branch during the 2002 World Cup, and a regional emergency medical center in 2004. It has repeatedly won national awards among medical institutions.
The International Department ensures a smooth experience for foreign patients. Coordinators help select nearby hotels and prepare treatment plans.
