Rambam is a public hospital in Haifa, serving as a clinical base for the Israeli army and the Technion Israel Institute of Technology Faculty of Medicine. It is classified as a Level 3 (highest) hospital under Israeli standards.
Each year, Rambam physicians treat over 600,000 patients and perform more than 80,000 surgeries. Nearly 100,000 patients are children, treated at the Ruth Rappaport Children’s Multidisciplinary Center.
Key specialties at Rambam include:
-
Oncology
-
Traumatology
-
Cardiology
-
Plastic Surgery
-
Gynecology
The hospital comprises 45 departments, as well as 45 specialized clinics, 10 institutes, and 6 laboratories. The hospital’s scale is largely supported by government funding, which allows for the development of new departments (including emergency units), recruitment of top-tier physicians, and the conduct of clinical trials. Despite its high level of care, Rambam offers affordable pricing.
Over 70% of foreign patients come from Russia. For their convenience, the hospital employs Russian-speaking translators and coordinators, and foreign patients are treated without waiting, saving both time and costs associated with staying in Israel.
