Prosthetics of teeth

A person can lose a tooth for many reasons: injury, decay due to tooth decay, illness, or just old age. This always leads to aesthetic and functional problems of the mouth. The only solution is a dental implant, which is fixed in the jawbone and serves as the basis for a crown or bridge. The prosthesis slows down bone loss and preserves adjacent teeth. However, this dental service has a high cost, otherwise the patient risks getting a short-lived implant. As a compromise, many choose dental prosthetics abroad.

Inexpensive dental treatment abroad is offered by dental clinics in China, Korea, India and Turkey. At the same time, the level of service and the quality of the materials used fully comply with international standards. For example, clinics in Turkey use modern high-quality implants from the German manufacturer Bredent. Patients are examined using 3D CT, and a special laboratory is used to prepare individual implants.

Types of dental prosthetics abroad

Dental implants are manufactured according to the parameters of the patient's natural teeth: based on the length, width and depth of the jawbone (alveolar bone) and even the nerve. They are made from biologically neutral titanium alloys. Such implants "merge" with the jawbone, forming a reliable basis for tooth replacement.

There are two main types of prosthetics used in dental treatment abroad: conventional and one-stage. Conventional implants are suitable for anyone who wants to restore one, several or all missing teeth. This type of prosthesis is installed in 2 stages over a period of 3-6 months. If the patient has moderate or severe bone loss, a bone transplant is recommended before dental implantation.

Single-stage implants are installed immediately after tooth root extraction. The dentist puts on dentures in one day. Such prosthetics are suitable for the installation of crowns or bridges, but are available only to those who do not have problems with the bone base. A CT scan is performed to assess the condition of the bone.

Stages of dental prosthetics abroad

First, patients undergo a thorough examination to select the most appropriate prosthetics. There are many dental implantation systems. The most popular implant systems are Nobel Biocare and Alpha Bio Implant. Both companies have long histories in the field of dental implant production and their own model lines.

If the patient is missing one tooth, its restoration will consist of installing three parts: an implant instead of the root of the tooth, an abutment (supports the crown) and a prosthetic crown. The upper part is attached using special cement or a screw.

If many teeth are missing in one area, it is recommended to install fixed bridges based on multiple implants. If all teeth are missing (or if all teeth must be replaced), a complete reconstruction of the oral cavity is performed.
