Ulthera Ultrasonic SMAS lifting is a non—invasive cosmetic procedure that uses focused ultrasound to tighten and rejuvenate the skin of the face, neck and decollete area. It targets the superficial musculo-aponeurotic layer (SMAS), which is the same layer that is tightened during surgical facial lifting.
The Ulthera device uses focused ultrasound that penetrates the skin and reaches the SMAS layer. Ultrasonic energy creates controlled tissue damage that stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin. As new collagen is produced, the skin becomes firmer, firmer, and more youthful.
Advantages of Ulthera:
- Non-invasive and painless
- Suitable for all skin types
- It does not take time to recover
- Improves skin texture and tone
- Tightens the skin and reduces wrinkles
- Stimulates the production of collagen and elastin
- The results last up to 12-18 months.
Ulthera can be used to treat the following areas:
- Face: Eyebrow lift, Forehead wrinkle reduction, Mid-face lift, Nasolabial fold reduction
- Neck: Neck skin tightening, double chin reduction
- Decollete area: Improving skin texture and tone
The Ulthera procedure usually takes 60 to 90 minutes. Before the procedure, an anesthetic is applied to the skin to increase comfort. The doctor then uses the Ulthera device to deliver focused ultrasound to the target areas.
After the procedure, slight redness and swelling may occur, which usually disappear within a few days. The results of Ulthera do not become noticeable immediately, as it takes time to produce new collagen. The final results can be expected in 2-3 months.
Ulthera is not suitable for people with:
- Active skin infections
- Open wounds
- Implants in the field of treatment
- Severe liver or kidney diseases
Although Ulthera can provide a skin lift comparable to surgical facial lifting, it is a less invasive and more gentle method. Ulthera does not require incisions, scars or a long recovery time. However, the results of Ulthera are not as long-term as the results of surgical face lifting.
