Ultrasonic lifting

Ultrasound facelift is an opportunity to restore youth to the face without surgery. This procedure is also called "SMAS lifting" because it affects the superficial musculoaponeurotic system, in English - the superficial musculoaponeurotyc system.

The skin is tightened and cleansed, wrinkles are smoothed out, the oval of the face becomes more defined, and the color is healthier. All this is possible without the intervention of a surgeon and in just a few quick, painless procedures.

The mechanism of action of ultrasonic lifting

Lifting is performed on a special device that concentrates ultrasonic waves. The doctor cleanses the patient's skin, applies an anesthetic (in some cases, even this is not necessary) and a marking grid on which the treatment will be carried out. High-intensity ultrasonic waves penetrate tissues to a depth of 5 mm and heat them. This starts a number of processes:

  • collagen fibers contract,
  • new fibers of elastin are formed, a protein that, together with collagen, is responsible for skin elasticity,
  • improves blood supply to the skin and muscles, and they are saturated with oxygen.

As a result, the muscles become toned, "lifting" the skin. The effect is visible immediately after the first procedure and over the next few months it only increases and lasts 1. To enhance it, some clinics offer additional procedures, for example, injections of Dermatoxin. In the Korean Inha clinic, such a complex procedure costs about $ 1,400.

Indications, contraindications, preparation

Ultrasound facelift is recommended for patients who want to achieve a natural-looking, delicate result. It can be performed at any age to rejuvenate or to prevent the appearance of wrinkles and a second chin. Most often, people over the age of 45 resort to the procedure.

Despite the safety of ultrasound lifting, it has a number of contraindications.:

  • pregnancy,
  • chronic neurological diseases,
  • skin wounds in the affected area, acne, inflammation, rashes,
  • diabetes mellitus,
  • oncological diseases,
  • the presence of pacemakers and electronic devices implanted in the body.

A few days before the session, you should give up alcohol. After that, do not sunbathe, do not go to the sauna or sauna, and avoid physical exertion.

In rare cases, side effects may occur: redness of the face, numbness of the lips and skin, mild soreness.

Types of ultrasonic lifting: Ulthera, Doublo

The clinics we work with mainly use two types of lifting devices: the American Ulthera and the Korean Doublo. They work on a similar principle and there is no big difference between them for the patient.

Doublo considers it more powerful, and some people in their reviews of the ultrasonic facelift on the Doublo device note that the procedure may be accompanied by mild pain and burning. However, such reactions are always individual.

The cost of an ultrasound facelift

The price depends on the country — in Korea, where aesthetic procedures are very common and affordable, the cost is likely to be lower than in Singapore or European countries. In India and Turkey, such procedures are also relatively inexpensive.

The volume of intervention also affects: how many zones will be processed, how many sessions will be needed.
