Multiple myeloma (or myeloma) is a type of cancer that affects plasma cells in the bone marrow. This malignant disease is characterized by excessive production of abnormal plasma cells, which leads to the formation of tumors in the bone marrow. Multiple myeloma can cause various symptoms such as weakness, bone pain, increased bone fragility, increased susceptibility to infections, and others.

Treatment for multiple myeloma may include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, bone marrow transplantation, and new treatments such as CAR-T therapy.  CAR-T therapy is an innovative cancer treatment method that can be effective in certain cases of multiple myeloma.
