MRI is the most preferred method of diagnosis of schwannomas. This method of examination can be recommended by a doctor if during the examination he pays attention to one of the symptoms of schwannoma, they are also sometimes found accidentally during a general examination.

 The clinical picture depends on the location of the tumor. Since it most often affects the auditory nerve, patients report hearing and balance disorders. 

Surgical methods of schwann treatment abroad

Since most of the schwannomas are separated from the surrounding tissues by a dense capsule, they are quite easy to remove surgically.

The operation is performed if the neoplasm bothers the patient: it grows rapidly, causes discomfort and dysfunction of the affected organs. If it does not manifest itself in any way, doctors in Russia and abroad often choose observational tactics: they monitor the progress of the tumor and, until it begins to inspire concern, do not prescribe treatment.
