Treatment in Koyan, South Korea

I contacted Apple Tree in January 2014. When I arrived in Korea, a Russian coordinator was waiting for me at the airport and helped me get to the hotel.

The first consultation took place the next morning. I was examined by the head of the implantology department, Kim Hye Sung, and his deputy, Young Mi Hee, and on the same day, they placed 6 implants. The operation went perfectly and was performed so skillfully that there was neither pain nor swelling afterward.

Over the next few days, the head of the endodontics department, Kim Hyun Young, treated my other teeth, and the head of maxillofacial surgery, Kim Young Yeon, removed a gum pocket.

Like most of my acquaintances, I always put off visiting the dentist until the last moment. I was terribly afraid of dental visits, but I couldn't postpone any longer: my wisdom teeth started bothering me seriously.

I had them removed at Apple Tree Hospital under sedation. It doesn't 'switch off' consciousness like general anesthesia but allows you to distract from fear during the procedure.

Everything went quickly, literally in 1 day. In 10 minutes, I had a CT scan and X-ray. Dr. Kim Jong In showed me the problematic teeth on the images and explained possible complications. Then they gave me painkiller injections and put me on an IV with a sedative. Before it took effect, a nurse held my hand to calm me down.

All the time I was at the clinic, I was supported by a coordinator who had seen many people with dental phobia and knew how to handle us. When I came to after the surgery, he provided me with a full report: how everything went, what was removed, and what the doctor recommended. I was also given medication for almost a week ahead and electronic copies of the images.

My first visit was in January 2017. Then I had 2 upper teeth removed, an implant placed, and bone grafting. In the summer of the same year, I came back to place another implant on the lower jaw.

Fear is always there, but I trusted the experience of my attending physician. In the end, it was scary but not painful.

I thank the doctor for his professionalism and the medical staff for their care.

It's too early to talk about the treatment results, as it will become clear in a year whether the implants have taken.

But even now, we can note the high professionalism of the doctors, the attentive, caring attitude of the staff, the quality of anesthesia—there were no aftereffects.
