Accurate diagnosis
The latest generation of PET-CT and PET-MRI diagnostics is available in foreign clinics.
Positron emission tomography (PET-CT), unlike computer and magnetic resonance therapy, does not show the anatomical structure of body parts, but records the features of their work, noticing deviations in each individual organ.
The PET-MRI machine is a spacecraft in the field of diagnostics. The only device capable of diagnosing cancer at stage zero. The radiation load on PET-MRI is lower and the diagnosis is performed more often, monitoring every step during treatment.
Advanced treatment methods for the treatment of liver cancer abroad
- Minimally invasive surgery. Minimally invasive operations are performed through tiny punctures or incisions of no more than 1 cm. Such low-trauma operations have become possible with the help of the Da Vinci robot surgeon. There are only five robot surgeons in Russia so far.
- Radiosurgery. One of the types of radiation therapy. It is used to remove small formations, no more than 3 cm in diameter, or tumors with clear boundaries. The radiation dose is high enough to destroy the DNA of pathological cells in one session and stop the growth of the tumor. And although the treatment is called radiosurgery, in fact there is no anesthesia or surgical intervention. After the session, the patient can immediately start his daily activities.
- Cryosurgery. Removal of tumors with liquid nitrogen or argon. The oncologist inserts a laparoscope with a tiny camera and uses it to fix the cryoprobe. Extreme cold destroys cancer cells on a targeted basis.
- Liver transplantation. In this area, Russia has been lagging behind for several decades. In addition to the catastrophic shortage of donor organs, legal issues also interfere. For example, organ transplantation to children in Russia is not allowed at all, and a waiting list is not even formed for them.
- Targeted therapy. The first chemotherapy drugs for cancer treatment operated according to the infamous saying: "We cure one thing, we cripple another." Although the chemistry suppressed the growth of cancer cells, it simultaneously destroyed the patient's immune system and caused many complications. Fortunately, pharmacology and biotechnology do not stand still. For the treatment of liver cancer, drugs have appeared abroad that destroy molecular chains in diseased tissues, but spare healthy organs.
Where to go for treatment
All of these methods of treating liver cancer are available in America, Europe, Israel, as well as in China, Singapore, India, and Turkey. Depending on the prescribed methodology and financial possibilities, you can choose the appropriate country.
- It is better to go to India or Turkey for a liver transplant. India is called the world center of transplantation and local doctors have accumulated a lot of experience. Transfer prices are 2-3 times lower than in Europe. The legislation in these countries, especially in India, is quite lax.
- Cryosurgery is more often performed in China. In addition to the achievements of Western medicine, Chinese doctors also have their own weapon — the traditional Oriental one. Massages, herbs, acupuncture strengthen the immune system and give strength to fight the disease.
- Minimally invasive and robotic surgery, radio and radio wave surgery are common in Korea and Singapore.
- Israel and Germany were the first to start using targeted drugs and are going there for gentle chemotherapy.
