Kidney cancer treatment abroad

Among all malignant tumors, kidney cancer is considered one of the most dangerous types of cancer. In the early stages, it is almost undiagnosed. Usually, renal cell carcinoma is detected - 40% of the recorded cases, followed by cancer of the ureter or pelvis of the kidney — 20%, and then sarcoma — 10%. Kidney cancer becomes noticeable only when the tumor has already reached an impressive size. Accordingly, treatment in this case requires more complex treatment. Many patients prefer to seek effective medical care abroad. Treatment of kidney cancer abroad, thanks to new therapeutic and diagnostic methods, gives very good results.

Methods of kidney cancer treatment abroad

Currently, in medical centers in Israel, Germany, Korea, China, Turkey and India, treatment is carried out using the most modern methods.

First of all, it is necessary to note the high level of diagnostics. Foreign specialists, as a rule, use methods of visual and X-ray diagnostics. These methods make it possible to detect the presence of neoplasms fairly quickly.

Kidney cancer treatment abroad is always combined. When removing a tumor, preference is given to low-trauma methods:

  • radiosurgery is a method of noninvasive (that is, without violating the integrity of the skin and tissues) removal of neoplasms.  Radiation therapy, in which high doses of radiation are delivered to small tumors without damaging healthy tissues.;
  • Minimally invasive procedures — surgery through punctured tissues or natural physiological openings.  The scars in this method are almost invisible.;
  • immunotherapy is the introduction of natural or synthetic substances into the body that enhance the effect of the immune system on a cancerous tumor, thereby blocking the growth of the neoplasm.;
  • Cryosurgery is the removal of tumor cells by freezing them.

Kidney cancer treatment abroad also involves special, more gentle chemo and radiation therapy.  The drugs used by doctors in foreign clinics affect only the tumor, almost without affecting healthy tissues.

Kidney transplantation

In the event that a single kidney is susceptible to neoplasm, urgent transplantation is necessary. It is quite easy to transplant a kidney abroad if you have your own donor.  Such operations are performed in Israel and Germany, but preference is still given to Turkey and India. In these countries, transplantation is widespread, the cost of such an operation is relatively low, and surgeons have extensive experience in performing transplants.

Interestingly, the legislation of India and Turkey is quite loyal to this type of transplantation.  The main condition is the presence of a related donor.  According to the laws of these countries, only a close relative up to the 4th degree (including a husband or wife) can be a donor. He must be at least 18 years old, and if he is married, the consent of the spouse is required.
