Retinal detachment – is a pathological condition in which the retina of the eye spontaneously detaches from the vascular layer that feeds it. Without proper timely therapy, it leads to irreversible blindness. A visit to the doctor should take place no later than 5 days after the disease diagnosis. Then the retina, deprived of oxygen and nutrient supply, dies off, and the person loses vision. Retinal detachment treatment in Carpets – is the experience of leading ophthalmologists, availability of high-tech equipment and advanced therapeutic strategies, the effectiveness of which is recognized worldwide.

Before developing a therapeutic plan, a differential diagnosis is carried out to clarify the nature of the pathology. For this purpose, ultrasound, CT and MRI of the head on powerful tomographs, digital electroretinography, computer perimetry, autorefractometry, OCT, ophthalmoscopy and other procedures can be carried out.

When treating retinal detachment in Carpets, the following methods are used:

  • cryopexy – therapy with refrigerants introduced through the thinnest probe,
  • laser coagulation of the retina – cauterization of the organ to the vascular layer by means of directed blue radiation of high intensity,
  • pneumatic retinopexy – «fixation» of the retina with sterile gas,
  • vitrectomy – a microsurgical intervention to restore the organ''s blood supply,
  • scleral buckling – a microsurgical intervention for suturing silicone implants to the sclera.

The prognosis after the therapy is favorable in the absolute majority of cases, but subject to timely treatment. The therapeutic effect can be consolidated by physiotherapeutic and health resort procedures.
