Removal of breast tumor in Seoul, South Korea

Now I tell my acquaintances how Korea differs from Russia - in efficiency and clarity of actions, and we patients are not left in fear of the unknown! Now I am sure that I am healthy, but I realized that nothing is more valuable than health when it seems to be hanging by a thread! Take care of yourselves everyone and get examined!

In 2016, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Although the treatment was successful, this disease needs constant monitoring, which requires specialists and diagnostic equipment that can detect cancer at early stages. Such equipment is hard to find in Russia, but it exists in Korea.

I was treated at Ajou University Hospital. I was impressed by both the technical equipment and the organization of the visit. I felt very comfortable and calm, largely thanks to the work of coordinator Tatyana.

I especially want to note the attitude of the doctors, including renowned and authoritative professors. Despite the huge workload and large flow of patients, they treated me very respectfully and delved into my situation.

I went with my husband, who was offered a separate package of examinations. He completed all the procedures in half a day and was very pleased.

Fibroadenoma of the left breast - that was the diagnosis I received in January 2017. My sister had the same disease, and I saw with my own eyes how difficult treatment can be. Local doctors couldn't give exhaustive answers to all my questions, so I had to look for a clinic abroad.

I chose "Inha" in South Korea, also because of the affordable prices. The examination went so fast I didn't even blink: I took a 2-week vacation, but only needed 1 day. The doctors' conclusions, scans, and test results were given to me on a disc. Korean doctors gave detailed consultations not only about the fibroadenoma. I also received recommendations for treating fibroids.

Surgery wasn't needed, so I spent the remaining days relaxing and admiring the beauty of Korea.

The surgery was successful thanks to the professionalism of the doctors and medical staff. I am grateful to them for their kindness and sensitivity, and to the clinic coordinators - for translation and accompaniment. They were with me the entire time I spent at the clinic.

I spent just over 2 weeks at Inha University Hospital and never regretted my choice. Even though I went alone, I never felt uncomfortable. The doctors were very attentive, the nurses treated me delicately: they even knocked before entering the room.

The reason was the need to remove a malignant breast tumor. The operation itself went smoothly: I was on my feet just an hour later. I underwent diagnostics right in the operating room.
