Andrey Vasilyevich Kovtun is an outstanding gastroenterologist, Candidate of Medical Sciences. Currently, he works at the National Medical and Surgical Center named after N.I. Pirogov.

In 1998, he graduated from the 3rd Faculty of the Military Medical Academy in St. Petersburg, receiving a honors diploma.

In 1999, he completed a clinical internship in the specialty "therapy" at the S.M. Kirov Military Medical Academy.

In 2005, he completed a clinical residency in the specialty "therapy" at the Department of Internal Medicine (Military Medicine) of the State Institute for Advanced Training of Physicians of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Since 2000, he has been actively studying the problem of alcoholic liver damage and methods of treating cirrhosis. The doctor often participates in research conferences dedicated to liver lesions in people with chronic alcoholism.

Andrey Vasilyevich is the author of more than 15 scientific articles.

Professor Jürgen Stein heads the gastroenterology and dietology unit at the Frankfurt "Sachsenhausen" Clinic. His competence includes the diagnosis and therapy of oncological, inflammatory, genetic, metabolic diseases of:
