Ophthalmology in hospitals Greece

Most clinics and medical centers are strictly controlled by European departments for quality control of medical services. Capital is being invested in the development of medical institutions not only from the state, but also from the European Union. High-quality clinical service is complemented by a favorable environmental and climatic environment that benefits patients with different diagnoses.

What is remarkable about the treatment in Greece?

Greek clinics have high-tech tools and equipment for high-quality examination and treatment of patients. At the same time, the prices for the procedures are significantly lower than the average cost of treatment in clinics in Western Europe. That is why citizens of Germany, Italy, France and other countries who want to save money on therapy without health risks often meet here.

Among the priority areas of treatment in Greece are the following:

  • comprehensive examination of the body using batch diagnostics;
  • medical, hardware and sanatorium-resort therapy of dermatological pathologies;
  • orthopedic treatment and rehabilitation;
  • antitumor treatment with medications;
  • oncosurgical interventions;
  • respiratory medicine and pulmonology;
  • correction of post-traumatic and postoperative complications;
  • Reproductology;
  • obesity therapy, including bariatric surgery.

In addition to targeted therapy, Greek doctors are asked for restorative wellness programs. There are unique thermal resorts and other sanatorium facilities in the country where you can undergo rehabilitation or maintain your health.

Among the most popular medical and diagnostic institutions in Greece are the Interbalkan Medical Center, the Anagennisi therapeutic and rehabilitation complex, St. Luke's Hospital and others. Public and private hospitals are certified by ISO and Temos commissions, and undergo regular inspections.

What is the cost of medical services in Greek clinics?

Treatment prices in Greece are about 20-35% lower than in Western European countries. A comprehensive examination will cost 800-1000 euros, and the cost of surgical intervention will range from 3,500 euros, depending on the tasks and volume of surgical procedures. The cost of a daily hospital stay is also more affordable than in Germany, Austria, Italy and other EU countries. When undergoing medical and hardware therapy, it is not necessary to stay in the clinic.

Patient reviews of treatment in Greece

Patients who have been treated in Greek clinics speak positively about the competence of local doctors, the equipment of hospital complexes, and additional services in resort areas. People note the friendliness and compassion of the junior staff, the literacy and attentiveness of doctors, the availability of modern diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, and reasonable prices for services.
