Treatment of oncology in clinics South Korea

When my mother was diagnosed with liver cancer, we contacted the service. We were offered the «QIMS» clinic. How wrong we were to agree. Upon arrival at the hospital, we waited in the waiting room for about five hours. Then my mother was placed in a small, stuffy room, and my father was offered to sleep on a mattress that rolls out from under the bed. We waited half a day for the MRI, and the procedure itself lasted about forty minutes. All this time my mother was very cold. To reduce the pain, the doctors gave her medicine containing paracetamol. It didn't help because in Russia my mother was given morphine. After discharge from the hospital, we never received the discharge documents. It is not worth going for treatment to this clinic.

I want to share my impressions of my stay at the clinic. The doctors took all my wishes into account. The surgeon performed the procedure perfectly. The clinic staff is attentive and courteous. I was placed in a 5-bed room, but I didn't feel any discomfort. The food was hearty and varied. I recommend the clinic. Especially since the prices are quite reasonable.

I sent my father for treatment to «QIMS», the international medical service of Kyung Hee. He received qualified help in selecting treatment. The support was excellent. Everything in the clinic is top-notch, only the prices are excessively high. Thank you for the support and help. We will definitely contact hospitals-travel for repeated treatment.

At the clinic, we were admitted quickly and well, everything was explained clearly during the consultation, and tests were scheduled. The results were prepared in just 2 days. It turned out everything is fine with me, even though I came to you with a great fear that they would confirm cancer. Thank you very much!!! The clinic is top-notch, the attending physician is a professional! Now I tell my acquaintances how Korea differs from Russia - in efficiency and clarity of actions, and we patients are not left in fear of the unknown! Now I am sure that I am healthy, but I realized that nothing is more valuable than health when it seems to be hanging by a thread! Take care of yourselves everyone and get examined!

By a happy coincidence, I ended up in the hands of experienced doctors at the South Korean medical center "Ihwa". I was already preparing for surgery in Novosibirsk - they discovered an ovarian tumor, and the prognosis was 50/50. It seemed to me that our doctors are apparently afraid to take on extra responsibility, and if something goes wrong, they will blame it on the wrong 50 percent falling out, and that's it.

So, I'm preparing, finding out everything, and then I learn that my dad arranged (without my knowledge) for me to be taken for surgery at the Ihwa clinic in South Korea. Of course, I protested at first, but my dad insisted that I at least go there for a consultation, and then decide for myself.

It turned out to be one of the largest medical centers in South Korea with a worldwide reputation. It made an impression on me; doctors of the highest level, they inspired 100% trust in me, although I haven't always been particularly fond of doctors. Not to mention the state-of-the-art equipment there! Korea justifies its leadership positions in the field of global technology in medicine as well. They performed a brilliant surgery on me, I believe. Although for those doctors - it's their everyday work. After anesthesia, I didn't feel any pain. Postoperative observations showed that the tumor was completely removed and turned out to be benign. In six months, I will go there again for a check-up.

I am sincerely grateful to Dr. Han, who performed a real miracle! Only because he undertook the most complex operation to remove a kidney tumor while preserving the kidney - in Russia, they were planning to remove my kidney along with the tumor! I still continue to see my favorite doctor and visit him once every six months!

I am endlessly grateful to the entire staff of the "Severance" clinic in South Korea for their professionalism. I was amazed not only by the qualifications of the Korean specialists and the impeccable politeness of the staff but also by the technical equipment.

I want to especially note the work of my doctor, who performed an incredibly complex operation and freed me from cancer. I must also mention the interpreter: I am grateful for the accurate and understandable translation of all medical terms and the willingness to help in any situation.

I recommend that everyone who has the opportunity go here for treatment.

Upon learning the diagnosis of "cancer of the lower part of the oral cavity," I initially planned to be treated in Russia: the disease was developing quickly, and little was known about foreign medicine. 2 courses of radiation therapy yielded no results, and the outcome of the surgery, according to the doctors, was unpredictable, so I decided to look for other options. That option became the "Severance" clinic in South Korea.

Collecting tests and preparation took only 3 days, and the surgery itself lasted 17 hours. It was performed by two wonderful surgeons, thanks to whom I have no scars and the predictions of other doctors, who promised that with such a diagnosis I would only be able to eat liquid food, did not come true.

The recovery period took place in intensive care, and then in a comfortable room, where my husband and a nurse were always with me. Interpreters were always present during rounds.

I only have positive impressions of the "Ajou" Medical Center.

I went there when I realized I was dissatisfied with the level of oncology treatment in Russia. I needed to undergo a PET-CT scan: there was no necessary machine in my city, but "Ajou" had two of them. I was amazed by the level of organization of the entire treatment process! Where in Russia it would take 2 days to see several doctors and get all the tests done, in Korea it only takes 30 minutes. Half an hour - and the test results are already in hand, and the doctor is ready to see the patient again immediately.

I am also grateful to the medical coordinator of the center. I'm afraid it would have been difficult without her help. She even gave me a weekend tour of Suwon, where the center is located, and I was able to visit the famous Hwaseong Fortress. After recovery, I plan to come to this city as a tourist: I already know you can have a great time here.
